About Us


Galangal specializes in French Asian Fusion Cuisine with hand-crafted cocktails and an extensive wine list. Located in the 1789 Great House in Christiansted, our intimate indoor dining room is decorated with southeast Asian touches that we've collected over our years of travel in Thailand and Vietnam. In addition to our sophisticated ambience, you'll also be met with island hospitality and the complex aroma of Thai curries and Asian ginger.

Each summer we travel abroad to bring back authentic curry powder and other spices from the different regions of Thailand. We also incorporate fresh-caught fish and locally-grown produce into our menu. Our wine selection features bottles you won't find anywhere else on island, many imported direct from Germany.

Since our opening in 2008, Galangal has become a favorite among locals and receives rave reviews from tourists on TripAdvisor and Yelp.
